The GRCOC supported the James River High School community by participating in the "Out of Darkness Walk" that took place on May 20, 2017.
The "Out of Darkness Walk" helps raise awareness and funds that allow the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention to invest in new research, to create educational programs, to advocate for public policy, and to support survivors of suicide loss. Many GRCOC members were able to serve, bond and connect with participants that were impacted by suicide victims.
Over $10,000 was raised through this event, doubling the goal of $5,000.
