Who says parents and teenagers cannot have fun together? At the GRCOC, the Teen Ministry has devotionals (short lessons about Christ, exciting games, sweet fellowship, and lots of laughing) every Friday Night at Midlothian Middle School.
Last year two of our very own, Casey Burkett and Erica Brown, went on “One Year Challenges.” Casey went on a church planting to Sri Lanka, and Erica Brown went to London to serve with the Teens Ministry in our sister church.
The Short Pump and Whyndham Mission Teams had a great time hosting lunch at The Doorways! What a fantastic facility they have there, the set up is great for volunteer opportunities and everyone who came to serve.
Saturday, February 6th was the Greater Richmond Church of Christ’s first official Serving Day. All around the city disciples were giving their hearts and hands to others in need; and we had a blast doing it!
Initially I was full of anxiety about going on this trip across the world to India. I had so many questions; would God use me? Would I be able to connect with the people? And, what do we have in common?
Ten days, nine disciples of Jesus, and 8,000 miles away from Richmond, Virginia! This has become the tradition of the GRCOC to send a small team of “missionaries” to visit, encourage, and inspire our sister church in Chennai, India during our Christmas break every other year.
